Fall Is Coming

Driving through Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont as the seasons are changing is something everyone should experience. Visit Stowe, Vermont, my favorite little town and get some maple syrup and Vermont cheese. Admire the American flags that wave from every light post, not in an aggressive, “We are Patriotic!” Texan fashion but as a perfect accessory to add that much more cuteness to every little town you come across.

The variety in trees they have here, particularly in Maine, allows for a rainbow of colors as Fall sneaks in. Driving through, you wish you had a hot cider and a sweater so you can cozy up to a fire but then realize, it’s 84 degrees, maybe not quite yet.

There are a lot of lakes, a lot of ponds and a lot of rivers, giving you plenty of opportunities to kayak, canoe, swim if you are Franklin or just admire the landscape.

I am unfortunately driving quickly through but this part of the country definitely deserves a return trip, I recommend early October.
