A Look Back – Week 30

Most BreathtakingA blue sky day at North Cascades National Park • Runner-up – Sunset at Deception Pass

Coolest (Worth a Trip) – Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee

Most Surprising – Campgrounds close far too early in the season

Favorite Little Town – Leavenworth, WA

National Parks Visited – Kootenay National Park (Canada), North Cascades, Olympics

Most Uncomfortable Moment – I was told by a park ranger in Idaho that I should sleep at the Walmart because a man was just murdered nearby while sleeping in his car.

Stranger Hero – The couple in Washington that after my booster pack wouldn’t jump my car, came to my rescue. It’s a miracle they were even there because aside from us, the place was empty.

Highlight –  Relaxing by a completely quiet Lake Wenatchee and enjoying my last moments on this amazing adventure.

Miles Driven – 1780

States – British Columbia, Idaho, Washington, Oregon

Those sunsets are the kind I used to see on board a Navy ship 30 years ago….Great pic of sunset! Hope you and Franklin are doing well!
