The Groove

The Alvord Desert? This place is in Oregon? I ran so hard here that I threw up twice. Excitement got the best of me or it could have been the delicious treat I found yesterday. Mom says I need to stop eating delicious treats I find on the ground because they are probably dead animals or something grosser. This place is crazy, it seems like it goes on forever but at the same time it is surrounded my mountains, so it has to end somewhere. Supposedly there is a Our Home on The Roadlake somewhere but we walked for what seemed like forever today and the lake just seemed to get further and further away so we gave up after I threw up the first time and came back to our car/home/shade. There isn’t anything in any direction and I keep hoping to find a little creature to chase but still hasn’t happened.

I’m very tired today, last night was not the best for either of us. Although we were cozied up like the previous night, it wasn’t very cold out so I was just too hot and panted all night. Mom had to get up a few times until she decided to put the screens on the windows and just roll them down to get a good cross breeze. That helped tremendously so at 2am I finally slept and I think she did too. When we woke up in the morning, Mom did some rearranging and threw out some of the not-so-important things. Hopefully it will make more room for us at night and we will be able to sleep a little better.

Our music started working again yesterday too and so did our stove so Mom made a nice dinner, cracked open a bottle of wine and sat by the fire with some slow jams playing while I took a little relaxation break myself in the grass. Although we weren’t at that campground very long, it seemed like we are both getting the hang of this whole camping thing and loving it more and more everyday!

Wow Franklin, it seems you and your mom are having some kind of an adventure every minute. Whether you are trying to keep cool and sleeping or looking for a lake to jump into. Keep an eye on your mom for us and enjoy the lake when you guys find it.
